The 9MM Self-Stick Valve by FixMyKite is the perfect replacement for leaking main inflate valves. This valve is commonly used for inflation on many kites as it stops air from going out whilst pumping and can be installed in under 5 minutes.
Backed by Tear-Aid these valves are incredibly durable and will stick directly onto your kite bladder. Everything you need to install the new valve is included in the package, including an alcohol wipe and a link to detailed instructions.
FixMyKite is the global benchmark in 'Self-Stick' valves, trusted every day by professional repairers around the world. When you buy a FixMyKite 'Self-Stick' valve you can be 100% confident you're receiving an original 9MM Inflate/Deflate valve backed by Tear-Aid and made by FixMyKite.
USE AS INFLATE: The "one-way" valve lets air enter whilst pumping, but won't let air escape when you stop pumping and remove the nozzle.
USE AS DEFLATE: You can either pinch the sides to let the air out or you can cut the flap off the back of the valve to let the air run out freely.
Introducing MEGA-PATCH with 77% more Tear-Aid! Perfect for when you need to cut away from your old valves or when you get a split in the bladder at the base of the existing valve. The Mega-Patch eliminates the need to use an additional bladder patch before attaching your FixMyKite Self-Stick valve.
HOW TO REPLACE:
Valve Removal: If replacing the valve, carefully peel off the old valve. If the old valve does peel off, cut around the circumference of the valve to remove
Cleaning: Wipe area where the valve will be placed with a provided alcohol swab. DRY COMPLETELY WITH A CLEAN PAPER TOWEL.
Peel and Stick: Lay bladder out flat. If possible, have a friend lightly hold the bladder on a table or other smooth even surface. Peel off paper backing, center valve over hole, and place valve on bladder.
Press: Press valve from center outward to remove air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion and creases.
*Pro-Tip - Use a hairdryer to heat the valve especially in cold weather. This makes it easier to remove the valve from the backing paper. After placement of the self-stick valve use the hairdryer again to warm the adhesive. Press the valve from the center out, massaging and stretching creating positive adhesion. Be careful not to overheat the bladder or new valve. Following this method will guarantee your valve sticks in all conditions, and it really helps the Tear-Aid adhesive provide a permanent and lasting repair.
Good product easy to use
Easy to change, and easy to stick. No issue but I will need to change other valves so couldn’t really test it properly. Seems that it will last long
Easy to use and once in place, peace of mind.
It is always my best option to fix my kite
I used these valves several times to fix kites. Works really well!
